Russian scholar predicts U.S. collapse, Alaska return to Russian control

Mike Eckel/The Associated Press

MOSCOW - If you're inclined to believe Igor Panarin, and the Kremlin wouldn't mind if you did, then President Barack Obama will order martial law this year, the U.S. will split into six rump-states before 2011, and Russia and China will become the backbones of a new world order.

Panarin might be easy to ignore but for the fact that he is a dean at the Foreign Ministry's school for future diplomats and a regular on Russia's state-guided TV channels. And his predictions fit into the anti-American story line of the Kremlin leadership.

Vindication, Validation, and Victory

By Clark Ross
January 20, 2009

Americans today are celebrating the peaceful transition of power as President George W. Bush steps down and President Obama steps up as the 44th President to lead the U.S.A. and the world. Even though the new President is inheriting a troubled economy, failing banks and two wars in Arab countries, there is still the aroma of hope and positive change in the air. Hope and opportunism abound.

For many African-Americans that suffered the indignities of the pre-civil rights era, today meant so much more; a chance to realize the dream that our forefathers envisioned for all citizens of every race, creed and religion.

45 Declared Goals of Communism in America

You are about to read a list of 45 goals that found their way down the halls of our great Capitol back in 1963.

As you read this, 39 years later, you should be shocked by the events that have played themselves out.
I first ran across this list 3 years ago but was unable to attain a copy and it has bothered me ever since.
Recently, Jeff Rense posted it on his site and I would like to thank him for doing so.

Gohmert on the Bail Out
Posted on: 2008-12-09 23:17:48 [ Print | 0 Comment(s) ]

Hi All, as you know there has been a compromise introduced on Paulson
Bail Out plan, though Congressman Gohmert says he will not support it.
He is instead supporting an alternative bill proposed by the Republican
Study Committee. We will be putting out an official statement today.
Also, you can monitor the House's ongoing debate on the bailout on CSPAN
throughout the day. Rep. Gohmert will be on the floor speaking as some
point, and I will try to keep you posted on the approximate time that
will happen. As always, please feel free to call me if you'd like to
schedule something with the Congressman today or throughout the week.
Thanks,

Laura Mszar

Too Close to Call

From: Chuck Roots
29 OCT 08

I’ve been watching the national elections since the Nixon/Kennedy presidential race of 1960. Even though we had moved to Paris, France in July of that year, I still followed the campaign through the newspaper (The International Herald Tribune) and the endless dinner table conversations with opinions flying!

One of those memorable moments in life for me was in the spring of 1961. Just a few months before Jack Kennedy was sworn in as our thirty-fifth president, he made a trip to Paris paying a call on President Charles de Gaulle. They made a drive through Paris in an open-aired car, circling the Etoille around the Arc de Triomphe and down the Champs Elysees. My mother and I took the bus into Paris to get a glimpse of our new president. The crowds were massive! As a twelve-year-old I was too short to see over the crowd, so the best I could do was catch a quick look at the top part of JFK’s head as the limo rolled by.

Palin-Bashing Press Keeps Swinging and Missing

by Jonah Goldberg

"What is wrong with these people?" was the nigh-upon-universal reaction among conservatives at the GOP convention this week. Liberal reporters inquired of conservative journalists, Republican delegates, right-leaning janitors, free-market short-order cooks, even the guys walking around in elephant suits: Will Sarah Palin drop out? What about the Eagleton Option?

For those who don't know, the Eagleton Option refers to Thomas Eagleton, George McGovern's first VP pick in 1972, who was forced to withdraw because allegations of mental illness.

Obama's Abortion Positon: To the Left of NARAL

by Frank Pastore

Frank Pastore from KKLA in Los Angeles interviews Jill Stanek, the former registered nurse who served at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois. She testified before Congress about the death of infants who survived the abortion procedure only to die without care, giving rise to the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.

Frank Pastore: As you know Sarah Palin has five children her youngest is a child that has Down syndrome. She was diagnosed, obviously while she was still pregnant with the child, and she chose to go forward. You have got to remember that 90 percent of Down syndrome children are aborted in this country, and it brings the life question right back regarding Senator Obama and question of what was going on in Illinois, what his record was regarding partial birth abortion—what he claims. You’ll remember that he said pro-lifers were lying about his record in an interview.

Incumbents for Change?

by Charles Krauthammer

"There are two questions we will never have to ask ourselves, 'Who is this man?' and 'Can we trust this man with the presidency?'"
-- Fred Thompson on John McCain, Sept. 2.

WASHINGTON -- This was the most effective line of the entire Republican convention: a ringing affirmation of John McCain's authenticity and a not-so-subtle indictment of Barack Obama's insubstantiality. What's left of this line of argument, however, after John McCain picks Sarah Palin for vice president?

Palin is an admirable and formidable woman. She has energized the Republican base and single-handedly unified the Republican convention behind McCain. She performed spectacularly in her acceptance speech. Nonetheless, the choice of Palin remains deeply problematic.

Want Real Change? Quit Nominating Lawyers!

Thursday, September 04, 2008
by Victor Davis Hanson

The 2008 presidential campaign is supposed to be a referendum on "change" -- who brings it and who doesn't.

Real change, however, hasn't yet proven to mean new politics.

The "hope and change" Barack Obama sounds like a traditional Northern liberal who always wants to raise taxes on the upper classes and businesses, expand government services and provide more state assistance to the middle class and poor.

"Maverick" John McCain talks like a conventional Western or Southern conservative in favor of spending cuts, across-the-board lower taxes and smaller government.

Foreign Policy "Experience"

Wednesday, September 03, 2008
by Thomas Sowell

Now that the Democrats have recovered from the shock of Governor Sarah Palin's nomination as the Republican's candidate for vice president, they have suddenly discovered that her lack of experience in general-- and foreign policy experience in particular-- is a terrible danger in someone just a heartbeat away from being President of the United States.

For those who are satisfied with talking points, there is no need to go any further. But, for those who still consider substance relevant, this is an incredible argument coming from those whose presidential candidate has even less experience in public office than Sarah Palin, and none in foreign policy.

Self-Made Man or Mysterious Stranger?
Posted on: 2008-08-29 08:19:50 [ Print | 0 Comment(s) ]
Friday, August 29, 2008
by Charles Krauthammer

WASHINGTON -- Barack Obama is an immensely talented man whose talents have been largely devoted to crafting, and chronicling, his own life. Not things. Not ideas. Not institutions. But himself.

Nothing wrong or even terribly odd about that, except that he is laying claim to the job of crafting the coming history of the United States. A leap of such audacity is odd. The air of unease at the Democratic convention this week was not just a result of the Clinton psychodrama. The deeper anxiety was that the party was nominating a man of many gifts but precious few accomplishments -- bearing even fewer witnesses.

The Big Contradiction from the Denver Dems
Posted on: 2008-08-28 07:24:46 [ Print | 0 Comment(s) ]
Thursday, August 28, 2008
by Michael Medved

Is the United States a land of limitless horizons, where hard work and big dreams enable people of humble background to scale dizzying heights of privilege and power?

Or is this a society of slammed doors and blocked opportunities, of a trapped middle class and shattered hope, where ordinary people can only provide a better life for their children with the help of an activist government and dramatic new policies?

The Denver Democrats insist that both descriptions are true, and they fail to acknowledge the obvious contradiction in the two primary messages of their convention.

GOP Veep Choice: Reconsidering Kay

by Michael Medved

The selection of Joe Biden as Barack Obama’s running mate changes the whole dynamic of the Veep choice now facing John McCain.

Sure, Biden brings credibility and experience and reassuring familiarity to the Democratic ticket, but he hardly adds sizzle or novelty. The Democrats feel that they’ve got enough pizzaz with their standard bearer, so it doesn’t hurt that they take a Vice Presidential contender with all the excitement of boiled Brussels sprouts.
